Using 'join' on 2 MPEG2 files produced huge file

Joining a 2GB and a 1.9GB file with MF3 'join' function produced a 5.8GB file. The only reason I am using MF3 today is because my favourite tool, NeroVisionExpress did the same thing!! Anyone else had the same problem?

That's not normal indeed. Give Videoredo a try. Fastest cutting/joining tool on the market.
