I have a problem with DVD Moviefactory 4 in that i have tried converting some files to DVD Format and the Audio is not present on the finished DVD. I have tried it in my DVD player and also converting it to Files so i can view the DVD on my PC without burning a DVD in both cases there is not any Audio on the files that were output by Moviefactory 4.
I have noticed that the Bitrate of the Input xvid file is 128Kbps (64kpbs per channel, (i found this using the "Gspot" utility, however
if i click on the File info for the Input file in MF4 the bitrate is missing, it just says 4800Khz, and although if I preview the file in the first screen where the input files are added it will play audio if i choose to edit the Input file then play it in the editing screen there is no Audio.
On other files of the same type i have noticed that the Bitrate is recognised by MF4 and the Audio is present in the Video editing screen.
Does anyone know why Movie factory 4 would fail to recognise the Audio bitrate on some files even though others of the exact same type the audio bitrate is recognised and the Audio is present in the Video editing screen.
Other applications (ie Nero) will recognise and re-encode the Audio into DVD but with a sync error after about 20 minutes, but i know this software is notorious for this problem so i was hoping Moviefactory would be an alternative that would work.
if there is anything i can do other than attempting to re-encode the xvid in TMPEG or similar (which will take ages) or there is there anyone who knows why Moviefactory cannot recognise the bitrate on these files, any help greatly appreciated.
PS, maybe this is why others are also having audio problems, I have only tried xvid but maybe Moviefactory fails to recognise the bitrate on other video formats too
Cheers
