Hi Gippeto, welcome to the forums..
I'm not sure what that error message is. However you did supply a bit of information that may be what is preventing the disc from being burned.
Having 4 gig of free space for creating video is not much. In fact with your project being 1 gig in dize, it is pushing the limit. When the project is being rendered, and then burned, DVD-MF needs additional temp space to put it all together. So for a 1 gig project, it will need at least 2 gigs to work with.
Another culprit is applications running in the background. Anything from screensavers, to antivirus, spyware, all consume cpu and could spring to life, which could cause the application to stop, stall, or lockup because the resources have been taken away from it.
For the least amount of trouble with burning discs try to disable all background applications, and if you can free up some space to give MF some room to work with.
Those may not be what's causing the problems, but until we know, we have to at least eliminate them as possiblities..
Sony is also known for proprietary hardware and software. They want you to just use their stuff. I have read in the past where some burning software of Sony's simply will not allow anything else. What Sony applications do you have installed, that deals with capturing or burning?
Regards..

It was a long time ago now but I did manage to succeed by trying again and again.
I think video man probably identified one or more of the problems???and I did close everything running in the background including virus applications. I have since added some more ram memory. I found the programe made the computer grind so slowly it was painful to watch with just 512meg. Added 256 more and computer works much better and helps the Ulead prog.
Sorry cant be any more help.
