Hi,
My first post and I am an outright beginner when it comes to VS 9 as will soon be apparent!
I want to add a title to the front of my movies yet can only see one way of doing this in VS 9 that isn't what I want. If I used Windows Movie Maker there is an option in that program to add a title before the entire movie. This allows you to type text onto a background and this is added as a clip before any clip in the timeline.
It might sound boring but that is what I am trying to do and I just can't see a way to do it in VS 9.
In VS 9 I can only see how to get title text to overlay frames in the first clip of the movie. Is there a way to get a title added as a separate clip before the actual movie clips in the timeline/storyboard?
If there is, it isn't obvious to me and I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.rs02931 wrote:dave,
If i understand the ? correctly... simply add a COLOR clip on time line before video clip, set its duration to approximately the duration of TITLE. then add your title to the timeline on TITLE TRACK.
hope this helps
When you say add a color clip onto the timeline does VS 9 have such clips in a library somewhere or do I have to add such a clip myself?
Thanks,
Dave

No there ALREADY THERE. The drop Down menues Above the thumbnails on the right side under the VIDEO STUDIO 9 logo......under COLOR this will place color images in the THUMBNAIL Window ...Just pick a color and add it adjust the duration add title and thats it.
