installing bonus cd w/ VS 9

This must be a simple answer but I can't find any instructions for installing the content of the Bonus Cd that came with my upgrade ver of VS 9. I have the actual cd not the downloaded ver. Also when I go to SmartDownload there is nothing for me to select and my only choices are update (which does nothing) and cancel. There are alot more images etc and I just don't know where or how to load them.

Well, it has been a little while since I loaded VS9, though like you, I did so from the discs, not a download. IIRC, you put the bonus disc in your CD drive and it should come up with a splash screen which lists things like Cool 3D, Menu templates, Video, Image, Audio etc. But things aren't explained well. Only Cool 3D and the Menu templates are installed automatically when you click on them in that screen. Clicking on Video, Audio and Image will only bring up screens which show the folders. But the idea is that you have to load these manually into the relevant sub-directory where you have loaded VS9 (e.g. Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead Video Studio 9\Samples\Video (or Audio or Images). Then, when you have transferred them, you have to open VS 9 and then physically (again) import the new samples into their relevant library pane.

Smar Download is only for those who have a downloaded version of VS 9, and from comments on this Board, it is far from smart...!
