HD plug in failure

Ive had Media Studio pro 7 + HD plug in 2 months now,and for some reason, the HD plug in has stopped working (will not capture HDV footage)
Ive tried deleting both and re-installing, and the captre will not work.I bought the Divx programme, to interlace my DV footage, and wonder has that caused any conflict,I even tried deleting that , but it still does not work,If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them.
