I use MSP 7 SP3.
The following problem has appeared:
In the source window, all my source files appear as if they were covered by a veil, or as if an a filter had been applied to them to overexpose them. However, the video I see in the Preview window looks ok. In other words, the same file plays back ok from the timeline, but not directly from the source window.
The source files are AVIs. DV type 1, Lower field first. I have worked on the project for months and have never seen this before.
I tried to open the project in my laptop, and the problem does not seem to appear there. Also, opening the AVI files in MediaPlayer produces the same problem (I don't usualy play AVI files on MediaPlayer, but they should playback ok, right?). 70G free space on the disk.
So after my own troubleshooting, I am fairly sure that some playback/display setting must have changed accidentally on my main editing system. But I cannot figure out what it could be. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Playback Problem in Source Window
That's a funny one. The fact that the problem occurs in 2 entirely different proggies tells me that it is not a software one, more like something to do with the overlay of your graphics card. I suggest you try re-installing the graphics drivers (a good opportunity to upgrade them if the manufacturer is offering one) and also your DirectX.
