camera question + other

Post by Matt_2222 »

Hi I just had a few questions:

1. Is there a way to rotate the camera without having to rotate each object? All I see is distance and camera lense, which do the same thing... zoom in and out. Is there a way to do other things with the camera, if so, how?

2. Also how do I color in 3dx objects that I download. None of them come colored so would I need a separate program to color individual parts of the 3dx model?

Thanks! :)

Matt,
Unfortunately, COOL3D PS does not utilize an active camera and allow for importing camera positioning data support. When it comes to giving that perspective, one needs to group the objects in camera's view and rotate them. I shared an animation using that process to achieve that effect. You can PM me and I will send you the link.

As for 3DS models, in COOL3D PS you have 2 options for import. C3D will import models with no color, D3D will import models with color. If you want to change to the colors of your original downloaded model, one needs a program by Right Hemisphere called "Deep Exploration". This program allows you to break up the 3DS model/models into separate parts. Which allows you color them separately. Then you can use this program to re-package the model/models or the separate pieces and save in 3DS format. Then import into COOL3D PS.

In C3DPS you can find a camera panel option in the View menu, but you can only use it to view the project in some special angels without modifying the project.

For 3DS model importing, Rwernyei is right.

Hope this helps.

thanks for your replies. That helps alot! Im not sure if anyone knows how to do this, but: Is there a way to make an overlay or 3d object appear behind someone in a video? I know that might be advanced but any ideas would be great. I use video studio 9. Thanks for ur help.
