Is it possible to import the template background MPEG-2 video files from WS 2 into either Cool 3D Production studio or Video Studio. I keep getting a 'Unable to open file'... 'file format mismatch'. What I want to do is edit one as a first play so that dummy buttons fade in before it moves onto the menu with active buttons.

Do your applications accept MPG files? I've no problem opening them in MSP8.

God I hope they both do. I've been bringing mpg files in and out of Video Studio(ones I've made in studio). Cool 3D I must check can I bring in other mpg files apart from the templates in WS. It doesn't make sense at all these applications should be able to swap mpgs pretty easily. And I'm not dragging & dropping. I'm trying to get them in using insert project/background/video in Cool3DS and the 'open folder' in VS8. I'll try some other mpgs in a bit and get back.

edit: I found out that COOL3D PS does not support MPEG for video backgrounds?!. It will only accept AVI, Quicktime files.
I must just check what the prob is with VS8
