Adding clip to the timeline so they match project cues

Post by BernardD »

Good day,
Here is what I would like to achieve (P.S. I have seen this feature performed by someone working with Premiere Pro).

I inserted a music on audio track in project timeline. I play it and hit F5 in order to add cues so they match the tempo of the music track.

Then I would like to insert all my video clips in Video Track 1, from the storyboard, so each clip will start according to the cue and will be trimmed automatically so each clip goes between two cues i.e. :
- clip1 will start at the beginning and trimmed so duration is up to 1st cue ;
- clip2 start at 1st cue and trimmed so duration is up to 2nd cue ;
- clip3 start at 2nd cue and trimmed so duration is up to 3rd cue ;
- etc.

At the end, I have all my clips on Video 1 track in sync with the music.
This could be also achieve with image that will have duration according to cues thus making them change in sync with the music.

Please note that when clip are added, I do not want them to overlap as I do not want transition between my clips (and/or images).

Thanks/kind regards,
Bernard

Place your music track on the timeline then set the cues. Now load your video clips into the Storyboard, do your trims then use the Add to Timeline context menu option to export them to the timline.

In this dialog are many options including the "Cues settings". Here you can loop the cues, call up the Cue Manager if necessary etc.
