Can't change from arrow to plain line

Hello,

I am using PhotoImpact XL. The "Color and Line" dialog box no longer appears when I draw a line. Now I am stuck with arrows and I am unable to change it into a plain line. Each time I select the Line button on the menu, no dialog box for it appears.

This also happens when I draw a shape. A dialog box would automatically appear to change the depthness and bevel and I don't get this box anymore. Does anyone know how to get this dialog box to appear again. I have searched the Help file but to no avail.

I'm currently not near the machine with PI XL installed, so I cannot be very specific.

On the menu bar, click on Workspace and select the tool settings panel. In order for this panel to be selectable you have to have an image open and the path tool selected.

The above hints work on PI 10. PI XL may have different names for the menu items but I'm sure you will be able to get it to work.

I don't have a workspace option. In the User Guide book, it says that by clicking the "Panel" button on the Attribute Toolbar, I should see the panel for the selected text or path, i.e text panel or path panel. Whenever I ckick the Panel button, nothing appears.

I knew it wasn't likely that you would have the same menu items as PI 10 and hoped that the hint would get you there.

Never mind, in PI XL you select the items circled in green to get your tool settings panel back. The red one would also get you a toolbar with all the path tools listed, you don't need to expand the one icon to get the other choices.

Give it a try.
