Repair VideoStudio 9 - Custom Settings

Post by sjj1805 »

I dont think anyone has posted this information so I thought I would.
I was having a minor problem with the Create Disc Function. After preparing a DVD Menu and going to the burning stage kept getting an error message.

I knew the files were all OK, and to double check just loaded them all into DVD MF4 using exactly the same settings, menu template, background music etc.

Rather than spend hours investigating the cause of the error I decided to try the repair option - You just run the VideoStudio set up program again.

The main thing I was interested in, and the reason for this post, is to discover if my custom settings would all disapear.

I am happy to say that it fixed the DVD burning issue, but most importantly all of my custom settings, video files etc were intact.

(Previously, when installing the MPEG4 and the HDTV updates, they all disappeared and the program returned to the way it was upon initial installation.)
