HELP: does MF3 support AC3?

Ok, very confused. My full version of MF3 does not support AC3 - I get no sound when trying to edit DVD made on a stand alone player with ac3.

But: according to the updates for MF3 it says - quote
Fixes video conversion errors when creating DVD-Video or DVD-VR.
Fixes conversion error problems with AC-3 files.

SO: does MF3 support AC3? Does it need this update? Lots of people have comaplained that it does not support AC3 so something strange is going on..

There are some version that do, and some versions that do not support AC3 audio.

The Full Disc Creator version does, but the Full Standard version does not. Then there are versions that are bundled with hardware -- they might or might not support AC3 audio (they sometimes have a designation of SE or LE).

Arrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I might see if MF3 disk creator is still available as MF3 is definately better than MF4..
