Insert DVD-R with VideoStudio8 and has no sound

Hello -

I have a homevideo in DVD-R and like to do some special transition effect with VideoStudio8.

So I started a new project in VideoStudio8, and select Insert DVD-R to insert the content into the timeline. When I play the project, the video is fine, but I can't get any audio.

When I inserted other formats like mpg, or avi, it works perfectly. Is this a bug with the software? Thanks in advance for helping!

NO - it is NOT a bug with VideoStudio, it is 99% certain that the video on your DVD has AC-3 Dolby Digital Sound.

and purchase and download the Dolby Digital plug-in and you will then have sound with your pictures.

You are so right, BrianCee! I check my audio and yes, it is AC-3 Dolby Digital.
