I have just installed Video Studio 9 for the first time. I open the application and if I choose any option from the first menu, it just hangs.
What must I do or look for?

Hmmm... you have a nice rig. So I guess you could do what tech support gives out: a clean reinstallation. Check this link out:

It worked for me, hope it does for you too.

Hi there,
Trevor Andrew was so nice to PM about this thread because I had a similar problem.
Well, I can tell you I solved it allright. But not in a very ethic way. My computer was really in high need for a format anyway, so I just formatted the whole shebang. Reinstalled the program and things are working better then ever now!
Sorry I can't provide you a less drastic solution, but it worked out for me!
Good luck, man!
Cheers,
Maarten.

I tried everything in this document
http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... ight=clean
and it did NOT work.
I am not prepared to format and install everything from scratch.
I am using Windows XP Professional with SP2.
