AVI file in VS 9

Post by jcmmarin »

Hi,
I am using video studio 9. Every time I insert an AVI file coming from a CANON powerShot G6 I get this water mark on my small film:
"PICVideo 3 www.pegasusimaging.com"
Can you tell me if I have something missing?
Thanks for your answers.

Hi,
clicking on your link only gets me to the Pegasus site, can't find your image there.

Can you describe the watermark or post a screenshot here?

Are you using the trial version?

How do you connect your camera?

General system spec's?

Hi,
I am using the full version. First I dowload the AVI film on my hard disk and then I included it in a VS9 diaporama at this time the water mark "PICVideo 3 www.pegasusimaging.com" can be seen on the small film, it s a text written on top of my film.
If you go the PEGASUS site you will see that you have to buy it and I dont want. Do you think that a codec is missing during the instalation of VS9 ?
I am working in PAL mode.
Thanks.

Hi

Using VS 9 do you still get the mark if you playback in project mode?

Have you played the Avi using Windows Media Player, do you still get the water mark?

If so I would assume it is embedded on your Avi file during recording and nothing to do with your computer.

Can you change the cameras capture settings?

Hi,
In playback mode the mark is there.
I have not try with Windows Media Player.
I can't change the cameras capture settings.
As I say I am working in PAL mode and my camera produce a film with 10frames/second
Thanks

Just to conform, using VS 9 are you playing the clip in clip mode or project mode.

To the left of the play button click the'‘project’ word then click play.

Sorry but have to check

Did the Pegasus program come bundled with your digital still camera? Was there not a bundle of Canon programs? I have both a Canon digital video camera and a Canon EOS Rebel 350 digital still camera, and the latter came with a whole pile of proprietary Canon programs which work just fine.

Anyway, what I am trying to find out is where Pegasus entered the picture, so to speak...
