Is there any way to adjust the capture timeout interval?

Post by mbarton888 »

I am using VideoStudio9 to capture from 8mm tape playback on my Sharp analog camcorder, through a VStream capture gadget. When the playback goes blank for too long, maybe 20-30 seconds, the capture stops, and must be manually restarted. But by then I may have missed some, and must rewind, and guess where I am, etc.

Is there any way to adjust Video Studio options to keep capturing even during these longish gaps in the playback?

Click on "File" then choose "Preferences" - in the new dialogue window click on the "Edit" tab (at top) - - click to take the tick out of the box against "Stop Dv tape when Capturing Stops" - click OK

Hi Brian,
mbarton is indicating that he is capturing from an analog device. I'm not familiar with his VStream gadget but will unchecking the option you outlined work? I thought PC device control only worked with a digital source, like a digital camcorder?
