Warning: VS9 will corrupt video files edited with VS8

I had reported this problem earlier. The problem still exists.

I had to resurrect several old projects that I had archived on DVDs. Every one produced a corrupt mpeg2 video file when Smart Render was enabled using Video Studio 9. The source video files were mpeg and had all been edited using Video Studio 8.0 and 8.1. All had complex transitions (Flying Flip, Crossfade). Fortunately, the projects were short and turning off Smart Render solved the problem completely.
