Upgrade to PS4
I recently purchased CD version of PS3, installed the patch fix (isn't it ridiculus to buy a new product and have to install a fix?) to correct lost text, etc. and it has worked without any problems. The free download of templates was good too. I liked it so much I was seriously considering upgrading to PS4, but it looks like there are some serious problems with PS4, judging by postings on this site and no fixes to correct the problems. It also looks like Ulead support leaves a lot to be desired. I'm wondering if a lot of the problems encountered with the CD/DVD Pictureshow 3 program and upgrade is because it is downloaded online and not installed from a CD.....perhaps corrupted in the download. Just a thought....I'm sure everyone has tried all they can think of to resolve their problem. Good luck to everyone.

No longer a customer
I just received $28.49 refund out of the $39.06 spent on the PS4 upgrade. I'm requesting the balance also. I agree that having to patch a fresh download with a patch months old is not indicative of a quality product. Ulead, how about integrating the patch with your download? Maybe you might eliminate complaints and returns. I can't recommend Ulead products at this point. I see that many folks here are actually reloading their OS. What an absolutely ridiculous action! And it seems that in every case, PS still didn't work. If it doesn't work on an initial install, dump it and fight for your money.
Before I got my money back, I downloaded the trial version of ProShow Gold 2.5. One Word -- SLICK!!! I now own it. And... it's PATCHLESS!!
Try it, you'll like it.

Upgrade to PS$
Several folks on this board have recommended Proshow Gold.....think I might try the trial. One question....do you notice that the burn process is faster than with Ulead? It seems to take quite some time to burn a DVD.

Couldn't burn with Ulead
I never got to the point where PS4.0 would burn a dvd. It would always crash. It seemed to handle vcd ok but the interface is confusing and the help isn't so helpful. ProShow Gold 2.5 on the other hand was able to handle a 500 picture show AND burn a flawless dvd+r. This from the trial version. I'm not sure of the time it took as I wasn't paying attention. Doesn't matter, though, I'm not looking back.
