Sub-menus in VS 8
I am a new user to VS 8. On page 120 of the user's guide it states that sub menus can be created but not state how or give an example. Does anyone know how to do this?

Brian,
Had a look could not see the answer - let me explain:-
I have about 20 separate video files.
When I create the video it just puts them as separate thumbnails and the >> to move to the next screen.
I want to have a thumbnail that when i press it goes to a new screen with new (different) videos choices on them. Hope this makes sense.

Hi
For each video that you add to the timeline a main menu thumbnail is placed on the title page.
Usually up to six menu’s are all that are needed on each page, a separate page is created for additional menu’s.
If you feel that you have too many menu’s then you will have to combine your video clips using a new project in video studio. (share create video file)
VS 8 gives you the option to ‘customise’ the menu pages, (second window) but the templates only accommodate a max of 12 thumbnails per page. You will require two title pages to accommodate the 20 clips.
From the first page.
For each clip in the timeline (each thumbnail) chapters can be inserted, this operation creates a sub-menu page for each. Select the first clip in the timeline, Click the Add / Edit Chapters. Insert chapter points as needed.
Repeat for the other clips in the timeline.
You can view / edit the menu’s and chapter pages from the next window, select the drop down box that says ‘Main Menu’
I think you need to combine your video’s into less parts maybe four.
Use these for the main menu’s and make chapters to create sub menu’s.
Read Brian’s tutorial again but think two videos not 20.
Nice tutorial Brian.
Hope this helps

Yes my tutorial shows inserting two videos but that's just to keep it fairly simple - you could just as easy insert 20 - then for each one follow the procedure for creating chapters.
Your going to have an awful lot of menu screens and a lot of button pushing to navigate - but if thats what you want !!! - it's your video
