I would like to be able to cut a section out of a Omported Video, I am new and not Sure how to do this.
Any help would be thankful

To start with not knowing what version of VS you're using, or what format you used to import your video (hopefully DV-AVI), I'm going to proceed with what you can do using VS8 or VS9.
The easiest way to do this is with your video on the timeline. Scrub to the start of the portion you want to remove. Using the scissors tool, located under the preview window to the right, cut the clip. You will now see (if you only have one clip on the timeline) that you have two. Scrub to the end or the part you want to remove, and again cut. You should now have three clips. The middle one is the one that you wanted removed, so highlight it and delete.
There are other ways using "multi-trim".
Above all to make things more fun, less stressful, and productive follow the recommendations posted at the top of this forum
