Here are a few constructive comments:
- The preview window sizing seems to act crazy. While I can get it to be 4:3, and lock it by setting "resize" to off in both the Source and Preview tabs, the next time UVS starts, the preview window takes on a non-standard aspect ratio (3.5:3 or something), causing scrubbing views to be all distorted. If you double-click a 720x480 image from the prod library, that will "fix" the source window, then switch back to preview and if you're lucky you'll see it in 4:3 too. I've futzed with prefs, etc, and can't seem to get the PV and SRC windows to stay at 4:3 aspect.
- When applying image masks, if you save import mask images into the prod library or project tray media lib, all you see is an all-white thumbnail. The alpha channel is invisible. I'd like to see a separate category in Media Library and Project Tray Media Bin called Mask Image, where the alpha channel is used for the thumbnail, so you can immediately see which image has which mask.
- The mouse wheel is a great tool for scrolling back and forth in the timeline (it's not documented by the way, I just tried it). It would be better if, as in UVS9, a Shift-mousewheel would zoom the time scale in and out. I got used to quickly moving around with the mousewheel ... zoom out, scroll to next edit point, zoom in, etc.
