"save as" doesn't work - FIXED!!!

Here's mine. I can't "save as." WhenI try to save using "save as" the "save button is grayed out until I type something inthe file name box. Then When I hit "save" nothig happens. Absolutely nothing. It just sits there.

I purchased the upgrade CD direct from Ulead. Am running Xp Home SP1.

Noticed no one has responded to your post and thought I would add my support - I also can not use the "Save as" in PI11. "Save" works fine but it is extremely inconvenient not to be able to save a digital camera image original or any other image with a different name. Maybe the next update will fix this and other problems.

Sorry to hear that you have the same problem, but am a bit relieved that I'm not the only one. Gives me hope that its not just my unique problem and that Ulead will find a fix.

I want to throw in my support as well. I'm having the same problem. Hopefully someone from Ulead can answer this or put out a fix real soon.

I don't have any such security tab in my properties dialog box on my XP SP1 machine. But thanks for the suggestion.

I have been in touch with Ulead support and they are aware of the problem and are working on it. I would encourage anyone who has this problem to report the problem to Ulead support. The more information they get on the problem the quicker they will be able to resolve it.

I haven't gone with PI 11 yet, still using 10. I am guessing here, but are you trying to save a RAW image from your camera? You may need to specify a format, or, if trying to save as .jpg, convert image to 24 bit color first. If you try to save a 48 bit image, it won't work with .jpg or some other formats.

No. It doesn't matter what file format. "Save As" just doesn't work. Ulead has told me its a known problem some people are having and they are working on trying to duplicate it on their machines so they can find a fix.

It appears to have something to do with the version that is included on the upgrade disc.

I just received my PI 11 and hadn't had a chance to use it yet, but tried to save as, and it saved fine....try clicking on options and check off compression to RLE. I am just guessing but might work.
If it is a bug, I don't understand that it works on some programs and not others. I did send for the boxed version, did you download?

You don't seem to understand. It doesn't work. Ulead has acknowledged that its a problem for some users. The options dialog box does not even come up.

Hi,

Here's another one with same problem... Saving images "as" (e.g. scanned or opened from hard disk and modified) does not work, whether it be in jpg or bmp format. The "save" box remains greyed untill a moment, but when it's available and I click on it, nothing happens... Well, at least, application does not crash...

))
It sounds incredible that such a bug happens in such application !
I'm running WinXp SP1 and PI11 (downloaded trial version).
Reading the above comments, I realize nobody has the solution.
I hope the programmers will fix this soon.
