Extra content won't install?
Hi - Downloaded the trial of 3D Production Studio and it runs great. But none of the extra content files will install... I get a message saying I don't have Version 1.0 of Production Studio. I checked the program's "About" box and it says I have version 1.0.1. Do I need to download different content files? I can't find any others listed on Ulead's web site except the ones I have.

Extra components are only for purchased ESD download version, not for trial or BOX version.
Hope this helps.

Hi H.T. -
Thanks for the reply. I don't know if anybody from Ulead watches this forum, but maybe they might consider making the extra content available for the trial version. My artistic talents are almost zero
so I have to rely pretty much on pre-made objects etc. for my projects. I'd like to know what's available before I buy. There's not much included with the trial.
I'm currently using an old version of Serif 3D Plus which is quite similar to Cool 3D but the Serif program is getting pretty dated. It does, however, include a huge number of objects etc. for me to use.
Just my two cents worth!

Hi again -
I really appreciate your replies. That sample with text spinning around the earth is almost exactly one of the things I've been trying to do.
Hope you don't mind if I ask a couple more questions... promise I won't bother you anymore
1. I have MediaStudio 7 (great software, by the way). In the readme file, it says I can import Cool 3D projects directly without rendering them. I can import them OK, but when I put them on the timeline and try to do anything with them, the Video Editor totally freezes. Have to use Ctl-Alt-Del.
2. Just curious... are you the HT Chien who's listed in the Cool 3D "About" box?

Please let us know your system spec, and have you installed the SP2 patch for MSP7??1. I have MediaStudio 7 (great software, by the way). Actually it will still do the render thing when you insert C3D project into MSP timeline. It will render faster in the timeline because the quality and dimension are not high, but it will render as long as in COOL 3D when you view it in the Source/Preview window in MSP. You can wait for a while and it should render properly in the timeline and the Source/Preview Window in MSP.
As I know, some Ulead employees will watch this forum for answering questions. However, they might not use their real name.2. Just curious... are you the HT Chien who's listed in the Cool 3D "About" box?
Hope this helps.

Hi "HT"
My problem with not being able to import Cool 3D projects directly into MSP is probably because I haven't installed the update. I'm using trial versions of both programs.
I'm a total newbie to video editing and I never thought I'd consider paying $300 for a video editor. But I downloaded trial versions of a half-dozen cheaper editors and none of them could do quite everything I wanted. I've been playing around with MSP for about a week, and I can see now that it's worth the price.
I'm just hoping I can come up with the money before the trial runs out
and then after that, I've pretty much decided I'm going to buy Cool 3D too.
Thanks again for your help!!
