Hi TF,
Adding a system profile to your web board account will help other users to better assist you. After logging in, simply click the "profile" link near the top of this page, type your info in the signature box (255 character max) and then click "submit". From then on, your system profile will appear by default in all your postings.
Re error message 15034:1:1, you might try temporarily setting your Windows display properties to something higher than 1024 X 768, say 1280 X 1024 for example. Make sure the new resolution is "set" and then try launching VS9 again. If successful, close VS9, go back to 1024 X 768 and try VS9 once again.
The above is NOT a known solution, the hope being that toggling your screen res will allow VS9 to properly re-detect it upon launch.
If you're comfortable re-installing your video card driver or upgrading to the most recent driver (available from your video card manufacturers support site) that might also be something to consider.
Again, these are NOT proven fixes... just a few basic ideas lacking a more definitive solution.

Re: Error 15034:1:1 VS9
I have the same problem.
newly purchased VS-X7 will not run due to this error message.
Fast Flick and Screen Capture DO work...the Vid Studio X7 does not.
I have tried every screen resolution within 32bit display.
I have tried running it using different compatibility modes as well. no luck there either. maybe it's the text display settings?
The error message:
Cannot initialize application.
Screen resolution is not sufficient to launch the application. Please
adjust your screen resolution or text display settings and try again.

Re: Error 15034:1:1 VS9
Regardless of the screen resolution VideoStudio will not start if the display setting in Windows is other than 100%
Screen shot below is from Windows 8.1 but I do remember Win 7 had something very similar - if that dot is not in 100% VS will not start.

Can't thank you enough, Brian. Had just about given up on this problem, and was about to remove the program...and then I read your post. That was, indeed, my problem, and your solution fixed it. Thanks!!!BrianCee wrote:Regardless of the screen resolution VideoStudio will not start if the display setting in Windows is other than 100%

Re: Error 15034:1:1 VS9
Windows 7 Home and VS X8.
In practice X8 will run with the non default setting but a warning comes up which you can ignore. X7 will not run unless the screen is in the default setting but X6 will.
The problem is that the text is so small in default that it is difficult to read BUT it does not affect the text in X8 which is the same for both settings.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: Error 15034:1:1 VS9
That's strange, my display settings are set to 125% and have been for years and I have never had an issue with VS or any other NLEBrianCee wrote:Regardless of the screen resolution VideoStudio will not start if the display setting in Windows is other than 100%
