would you happen to have a link to it at all?? Is it on their website? or do I just go to a PC World? I would prefer to see it online first.

Found it on Amazon.co.uk
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000 ... 65-1934817

There is A video editing kit on PC World, but it's ¢G80?!!! I'll go to a real one some time....
Pc World (Link Edited by sjj1805 due to line width)

Just a question though, so with the Amazon one, do I just put that into the computer, and install the software etc. then the get the correct cable and then the camera will work with the PC. What I don't get is why it doesn't like USB even though the camera has both connections on it...Will this definitely fix it?? I really wanna capture these DV Tapes on this camera to Ulead??!!!

Thanks for any more help!

The first one at Amazon is the one you need.
There is one like it in PC World - or at least there was
the last time I went there - that's where I go mine from.

The second link - the PC World one, that's not the right item. I couldn't find it on their website.
They might not put all of their stock on their site otherwise they may no longer be selling it.

The one From Amazon (And the one from PC World if they still sell it) have the cable included. There is nothing else to buy. You do not need to install any software - the Windows XP System itself will detect the new card and install any necessary drivers.

Although it looks very much like USB and in fact works very much like USB - i.e. you just plug a device in and later unplug the device, the firewire cable handles the streaming of DATA between the two devices differently. USB is OK for photograph's but no good with videos.

Before anyone jumps in - like every golden rule there are exceptions and some - but not many - can use USB.

So once I get this card, it will hopefully work right? The "capture card" message will stop coming up right?

I have found the box in my loft. This is what I bought from PC World and at the time cost approx ¢G15. Contains the firewire card and the cable.

I have bought an "IEEE 1394A 3 Port PCI Card" from Maplin - but it's still not working - i'm soo annoyed!!

Same old message.... - the PCI card even came with a cable and it's not working!

And I can't contact Ulead Technical Support because apparently the product has been registered by someone else... I don't remember ever registering it so... argghhh!!!

The IEEE thing came with VideoStudio - do you think it's worth uninstalling VideoStudio 7 and 8 (which are on my PC at the mo) and installing the VideoStudio 8 that came with the IEE PCI Card?
