I hope I'm not being redundant with this discussion.
I have Movie Factory 3 Disc Creator installed. I have Hauppauge analog TV card properly installed, and it's working.
I'm trying to capture a video signal (only) from an analog VHS machine. I have a cable from the VCR's video output, going to the video input of the Hauppauge card.
I turn on MF3, then the VCR, and play a tape, but I'm not seeing anything connected in the Create Video section.
Please walk me through the steps for this. My system is Windows XP, and I'm working off of a 300 Gb HD. I want to capture the video to the drive, then edit it, and ultimately burn a DVD.
Thanks.

Analog VHS capture using MF3
I have a Hauppauge card, and I use the Hauppauge software (WinTV 2000) for capture. I was never able to get Movie Factory to work with this card. But, I really didn't try very hard, because the Hauppauge software works great.
Once you get the video onto your hard drive, you can use Movie Factory to make a DVD. (Editing MPEGs can be a problem though... they aren't supposed to be edited.)
