Hi all
Is there a way to adjust the overlay fade in/out times with VS9?
It seems the longer the overlay the longer the fade to the point of being just too long.
Thanks

Its a bit more work but I found well worth the effort.
Start with a blank timeline and put a colour clip first, then your video clip and finally another colour clip. Add your transitions between the clips - I found for this next effect clock or spiral one's are quite good.
Now render.
Now use this new clip as your overlay and use the chroma key to remove the colour clips at the two ends. The effect is an overlay that enters and leaves your main video with quite an eye catching result. Better than a simple fade in/out
