Frames

This is probably a simple question, but I am new to this software and don't have much experience in general. I am trying to put a frame around my work that I created, but the photo frame option is not dark, it is instead gray so I don't have the option to click it and make a frame. Am I doing something wrong? Is there some setting or type I have to have my document in. Please help! Thanks

Which version are you using, boxed or downloaded?

If it is a downloaded version or a trial, it does not come with all the modules and extras in the download, presumably to make the download faster. Personally I don't understand the logic behind it since you have to download the extras anyhow at a later stage and there are a lot of problems with the smart download function.

So, the answer is: if you downloaded PI from the web, go back to the download page and download the extras also. Follow the instructions to install these.

I believe it is the boxed version. I am able to use the frames for other projects that I made, I just can't get it so that I can use it for this one. I am quite baffled. Thanks for the reply.

What type of image do you work on? If it works with other images but not with this one, there must be something peculiar about it. Is it a 24 bit RGB or some grey scale image? What type are the ones that work?
