Hi there
I have a VS9 rendering problem. Captured a mpeg-2 file- no problem. File size is about 3 GB. When I try to render the file with the "same as project" settings it renders the first 43min of the project and then crashes. Tried it with different file, always craches at 43min.
VideoStudio crashes in uvSEPA.dll.
The problem started appearing after installing the service pack for VS9 - I think. I then installed VS7 and VS8 with the same problem.
I have done 10 movies the previous 2 weeks without any problem and after the update the problem started. It sounds like it's not really related only to VS9 but the others as well.
With DVD Studio pro2 it works fine and with Adobe Premiere 6.5.
I'm running XP SP2 with ATI AIW radeon.
I have tried everything that I could think off. Please give ideas.

Did you edit the captured mpeg at all or are you just trying to create a DVD with the captured clip?
You state that you are running XP SP2 with ATI AIW Radeon. What hardware are you running that on?
Running XP, could you go back to a restore point prior to the installation of your update? Let's see what happens.

What I did was just splicing the video and save the VS9 project. I then generated a new *.mpg file with the same settings as the project file. This is the part that VS9 crashes.
This specific project used to worked before the patch update. Now it crashes. I even installed VS8 and the same happens. I installed VS6 and it works on VS6, but not on VS8 or VS9.
I saw that I also did install DVD-Shrink just before the update. I then subsequently uninstall DVD-Shrink and also did a clean uninstall of VS9 and then reinstalled VS9, but to no avail, it still crashes.
Unfortunately I do not do restore points.
My hardware config is as follows:
Pentium III 866MHz
GA-6OXE Gigabyte Motherboard
512MB RAM
160GB Seagate HD 7200.9 8MB cache (Got it 2 weeks ago)
80GB Western Digital HD
ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon card
LG GSA-4163B DVD Writer
Teac DV-W58G DVD Writer
Operating System:
Win XP with SP2
As I also said I did render the same project befre and it rendered fine. I rendered a few other projects as well and they all crashes at about 43-45minutes of the project.
Hope this will help.
Thanks
