Hello!
Sorry I post this here, but I maybe you can help me?
I am a registered user on Ulead's website (and have registered products). Apparently I have forgotten my password, but password reset form does not work I tried it many times so far and nothing- I got no email.
I also emailed Customer Support, but, from the description, they seem to handle rather purchase-related problems and still got no answer after a few days.
Have you had similar problem? How did you manage to solve it?
TIA
X.
How did you reset your password???

password reset la la land
Isn't it a "trip" no one really knows how to contact Ulead - You see if you are trying to recover a password - you do not have access to the site. The password recovery page apparantly doesn't work - since I have sent several requests with no reply.
No replies from the moderators either - With Ulead - you get software - but little else - I can't believe they don't read the posts and revamp their organization, or lack of organization.

Re: password reset la la land
Where didn't you have access to the site? When you browse to your account page on the Ulead site, you get to the log in screen where you are supposed to type in your user name (usually your e-mail address you used to register with) and your pass word. If you do not enter anything and click "continue" you are asked for your e-mail address. I just tried it myself to prove the situation. I typed in a wrong e-mail address and immediately received a message that there is no record for that e-mail address in their database. When I typed my correct e-mail address, I received this messagevrv wrote:Isn't it a "trip" no one really knows how to contact Ulead - You see if you are trying to recover a password - you do not have access to the site. So at least that part of the site works, and you do not need to know a password to get there.Thank you
We will be sending you an e-mail with your password for access to the Ulead Member Center.
In the time it took me to type this I received an e-mail from Ulead, telling me my new password.
Have you actually tried it or do you just enjoy making statements like this post?Dear Heinz

I have investigated a bit into problem.
It seems that new account registration emails and and password-reminder emails are simply not delivered by my e-mail provider. Promotional messages however are delivered OK
I'll try to get feedback from the provider, I suspect some misconfigurations of either Ulead's mailing engine or anti-spam measures of the provider.

What I have found out:
Ulead has a history of spamming, so some providers put Ulead on blacklists. That means that they break connection with Ulead's mail servers as soon as they start to transmit emails, not even getting their contents.
Personal spam settings can not do anything in such case.
As different types of emails have different "signatures", you may get some types ef email, while not the others (fe. I get promotional emails but not others). Currently, I am effectively locked out of my account- thanks to Ulead's technical ignorance.
Thanks to their stupidity, there is no way of reporting this, as well.
I have thought I would never write this, but enough is enough:
STAY AWAY FROM ***, AVOID ULEAD, UNLESS YOU ACCEPT THE "YOU PAID, NOW GET LOST" IDEA.

Naaa, Ken, that's too easy, let's just bash the innocent around a little. Some people do not want to find out what's wrong, because they know already. Anything that doesn't fit their perception is buls**t
Funny that out of so many habitual know it alls only the odd one or two cannot get any real emails from Ulead but receive Ulead spam. Of course, that has got nothing to do with their provider or their own settings, no, it's Uleads fault.
Now, I think, I better take cover

I've already got account serviced by a different provider. But you know what, the Ulead account I cannot log into is still assigned to the old provider address. I would promptly change it. If I could log into the account...
Heinz-oz, if you are interested, take a minute and search for ulead and spam in Google's newsgroup search engine. You may take another minute and look into the headers of promotional, registration and password reset emails. Guess what? They differ, not only in "Subject" and "To" lines...
Sometimes it's hard to admit you are a client of crappy company that says if supports its clients, while it doesn't, isn't t?

P.S. You wonder why a provider does not promptly remove Ulead from blacklist on demand? Strange, that's easy guess...
