A quick way to save lots of trimmed videos
I have captured a 20 minute video and then "Split By Scene" to break up individual clips. I have over 100 trimmed videos now. Is there an easy way to "Save Trimmed Video" rather than having to do each one individually?

Hi, I'm very new to video editing myself and often wondered about what I believe you are asking. I don't know if I'm doing the proper thing but, I save all my multiple trims to one 'save as file" from the timeline, in the same format that I was working in (usually avi) Then I use DVD Workshop to put menus and chapters in. I then delete the original file and keep a copy on the DV tape.
I'm curious if there is a better way myself.

I don't believe there is any easy way of performing a "Clip -> Save Trimmed Video" for more than one clip at a time.
I personally do not use "Split by Scene" - I prefer to go through the (single) video file and mark the areas of interest as separate clips - as I do each one, I then perform a "Clip -> Save Trimmed Video". Thus I do not have any separate clips of my mistakes i.e. lovely shots of the ground swinging by etc
Once I have split my video into several major portions I make the movie and then I delete the original .avi file (I now have separate .avi files for each portion that I wanted to keep). After the project is complete, I then archive all the video files, image files etc and the project file to DVD disks - just in case I want to re-edit the project at some time in the future (like I am in the process of doing now - I quickly made a DVD of my son's high school graduation and later discovered the colors are slightly off - so I have re-loaded the files from archives and am attempting color correction).
But everybody has their own favourite work process
