Upgrade

Post by PCTech »

I purchased MSPro a few years ago, sort of lost interest in editing but now that I have a DVD burner, I want to get back into it. I have version 6.0 - is there an upgrade to the latest version, if so, where?

Also - it seems there is a limit of 4 gig? When I create video file it is 7 gig (uncompressed) when it gets to 4 gig - it sort of starts over then displays a message that there isn't enough hard drive space (but there is).

Thanks!

Yes, you can upgrade to v. 8 but, if you are encountering the 4 Gb limit, it probably means your HDD partitions are in FAT32. This may suggest that you are not using either Win2k or WinXP, one of which is essential for v. 8. If you do have W2k or XP, you could convert your partitions to NTFS (without losing data). Have a careful look at the system requirements before upgrading.

Actually it is XP - NTFS, so that is odd. I'll look for the upgrade link now, thanks.
