any super deals on MSP Pro 7?

Post by bgamd »

Now that MSP Pro 8 is out, are there any clearance prices out there for MSP Pro 7?
I would like to own it and could probably use an upgrade since I am a legal owner of VS 9 (boxed full version)
thank you for any replies

I'm not sure if VS9 entitles you to an upgrade to MSP 7. Prior to the relaese of MSP 8 you could download the upgrade for something like $150.-, how much cheaper would you like it to be?
Check the stores for sales.

no easy answer to the question

Since you asked, I'd like to own it for $50.
May sound cheap to some but we all know about the value of software.
Everyone wants the latest version which makes the former version worth very little. I thought I might find someone who has MSP 7 and has gone to MSP 8 and might want to turn their old version into cash.

I, too, am not sure that the upgrade version will work for me.

I think that's unlikely. If they have upgraded, they have taken their licence with them, which makes their old MSP 7 useless (in legal terms, at least).

No one who has upgraded would wish to rid themselves of the old version: they would not be able to reinstall without it.

As MSP8 is so much better than v. 7, I suggest you raid the kiddies' piggy banks and get the latest version.

We are on to a good thing here  Wouldn't it be great if we could buy the just replaced version for 50 bucks, then use that version to upgrade to the latest with around 150.- price reduction over the full version. :?
Are you for real???

I upgraded from v6.5 to V7 just a few weeks before they announced V8 and to upgrade to V8 so soon will mean V8 will have cost way more than the normal full price. BUT, you can buy the full version of VS9 and use that to upgrade to MSP8, and end up with an overall $50 saving on the full MSP price.
While they maintain such an unfair upgrade policy they can count me out.
(I'm not even sure if the full version will work on my machine - the trial doesn't)

all opinions-no answers

I am very much for real Mr heinz-oz.
I bought the full version for less than $37 shipped.
Now I'm the one laughing at you!

I asked a simple question and expected a simple answer.

The point being made by Heinz is. If something costs £180 full price, but if you have an earlier version you get it for £100, overall saving £80.
It would be great for someone without the earlier version to get that earlier version for £50 then upgrade for the same £100. So in effect they are a new buyer getting the full version for £150.

Nothing illegal about that but a bit unfair on anyone who cannot "find" a cheap earlier copy.
