Problems burning to disk

Hi. I recently purchased DVD MovieFactory 3.5SE but have not been able to successfully burn to disc. Originally I received the following error after burning "TARGET DEVICE MIGHT HAVE SOME PROBLEMS. PLEASE TRY AGAIN OR REBOOT" and found that when playing the disk I could only view approx 8 mins and the screen would freeze. Since removing another Dvd burning program Sonic Digitalmedia, the error has ceased but I can still only view the first 8 mins of the dvd.

Can you help please.
