i was working on something... when... i recieved this error, telling me to contact the support team... so- here i am!
haha, i doubt there's any "cure" for this, besides just dealing with the troubles that come along with computer editing systems...

Firstly, this forum does not access any support team.
Secondly, you should have been able to link here with img and /img (between square brackets, of course).
As for your problem, it seems to have occurred during a relinking operation. I could imagine that relinking problems could occur if you have changed the position or other properties of a file that is being sought. For example, if you're using a clip starting at 5 minutes into clip.avi and you subsequently change clip.avi so that it is only 4 minutes long, an error is inevitable (this is a gross example) or, more subtly, clip.avi has become corrupt for some reason.
As you give no details about what you were doing, we cannot really help, just surmise.

I suppose I wasn't really (yes- i do know how to use those tags, i think my browser is having some difficulties and perhaps I was the only one not able to see my image when I had previously posted it within the correct IMG tags ) coming here looking for an exact answer... I realize that the forum is not "the support team" -- I was simply quoting what my error message said because, well, I thought it sounded kind of funny.
Anyway, yes, I am working with avi video clips, and I was in the process of re-linking one that is located in my media library window.
I guess this is something I could ask that someone here probably knows the answer to...
I've been trying to re-organize a large amount of pretty much every video file on my computer, and in doing so I 'un-linked' every one of those video thumbnails you can see in my screen shot. Almost every one of them, however, has been moved into a new folder, all together. So, I have found to be able to use SmartRelink to relink the files inside my timeline successfully, but it seems as if I need to relink every file inside the prudction library... separately? Is there any easier way around this?
(I'm fairly certain that I have not changed the duration of any of the .avi clips...)

oh-- just remembered... one other thing:
I had the trial of version 8 installed, and it had changed all my video editor project files to having new, 'version 8' icons... and whnenever i'd plug in my (mini dv with firewire) camera, it would want to automatically capture using version 8. heck, even when i'd click on my "version 7" video capture desktop shortcut, it'd want me to use 8... but anway, the trial is over and i'm not in a position where I am able to purchase it as of now, so, I uninstalled it. However, now my project files turned, instead of returning to the previous "version 7" state, to a weird, white-ish looking thing with a red letter "A" on it... and i cannot double click on it to automatically start video editor along with my project... If i load the editor and then go file>open project or whatever it is, I can open it up... so it's not really a big deal, I am just curious if there's a way to fix it... ? (re-installing msp7, possibly?)
