Date and Time on Screen

Post by Eytan »

I am trialing Ulead DVD MovieFactory4 and would like to use it to capture Digital video from my Sony camcorder (DCR TRV110E) using firewire Card.

As a first project with MovieFactory4 I decided to burn a DVD using one hour file captured from my camcorder. I also added menu and added a few chapters to project. I burn it as DVD-R format and able to view the DVD on my PC and my Pioneer DVD player.

When attaching the camcorder directly to the TV and playing the movie I can see the Date and the Time that the movie was taken. I wonder if I can also do it on the capture file? I was unable to figure out if I can do it with Ulead DVD MovieFactory4.

Thanks.

I'm not sure that you can, but third party software exists to do it, here is a link to four.

try capturing the video in DV-AVI format and use the programs above. It will embedd the date/time code in your AVI like a subtitle.

personally I like DVDate because its free. :)
