Crash at completion of Titles

Post by dstringh »

Up until a few weeks ago, DVD MovieFactory worked great. I create mpegs in VideoStudio 9, and then burn in MovieFactory 4.03. All I do is add music for the menus, and titles. As of yesterday, when I try to burn a DVD, it crashes with a windows error at the completion of creating the titles. These are the same titles I used before just fine.

When weird shtuff happens, I usually suspect corrupted video files.

Are you using the exact same MPEG files, or did you edit them? Did you edit them as MPEGs? Or, before they were rendered as MPEGs.

MPEGs are not meant to be edited. When I edited MPEGs with VS8 (I haven't tried it with VS9) I ended-up with corrupted files which played fine, but caused crashing of DVD Workshop (I wasn't using Movie Factory that time) as well as the dreaded lip-sync problem... when I made it past the crashing problem. :(

Issue Resolved

:D

I rerendered the MPEG, as well as completely uninstalled and reinstalled the DVD Movie Factory software. Works fine again. I did find that if I applied the patches, other than the updates, I got some weird error. As I do not need those patches, I did not apply them,

Hi, I had exactly the same problem and it turned out to be lack of disc drive space on my PC. The program doesn't tell you the nature of the error, but check it out. You've probably added too many files since it worked last time.
