Capturing from DVD's-Help Pls

Hi all. I am an actor who has his clips on DVD's. I am trying to take the scenes from my DVD's and edit them together for a one minute demo DVD. The DVD's are recordings from television shows and a couple are from DVD's of movies that producers sent me. I can easily capture DV footage from my DV camcorder, but I am not able to figure out how to capture my footage from these DVD's! Any help would be appreciated. I have version 7 SE. Thanks.

I'm npot sure on the ability of 7SE to use mpeg files, but if it can it isn't capture you want, but insert the dvd into the dvd drive and use import file.
I find copying the files to the hdd is a faster way to edit
