ok well i heard u had to download the updates by hand well its not workin for me i guess cause im on a trial version i was wondering how to get the full version for free and would that fix my problem?

If the cost of the full program is too much, you might be able to pick up a previous full version of PI on one of the various auction sites. Make sure that it's a full version and not one of the SE versions that come with peripherals. That would at least allow you to upgrade for less, if not for free.

Whoops! I take that back! SE versions are OK for upgrades.
