Screen Resolution

Post by chemman »

I prefer to use the 800 screen resolution setting on my computer, because it's easier for me to read text material. Movie Factory versions 1 thru 3 the 800 setting could be used, but with version 4, the 1024 resolution must be used. Is there a way to change the resolution to 1024 when I open the program and have it return to 800 resolution when I close the program? Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 can do this automatically. Thank you for any help.

 I think it's really bad for a Windows program to require a particular resolution!

I just tried an experiment... it didn't work on this Windows 98 machine I'm on right now, but it might work on a more up-to-date operating system.

I created a new user named "Ulead." I changed the resolution for that user. (In this case the resolution was still changed when I logged back-on as "Doug.") :(

BTW - You can go to Display Properties and increase the size of your Windows Icons & standard text. (It's under the Appearance tab on this Win98 machine.) There are about a million (~30, actually) "items" that you have to change the size of. Also, most Windows programs will allow you to adjust the text-size if they don't use the default Windows-font.

Or, you could buy a bigger monitor!
