lost footage

Post by gronow »

Whilst trying to burn a dvd videostudio encountered problems and closed down, now when I try to open any of my previous projects there is no footage. The titles and added music are there but no pictures. The message reads:Original file [C:\Documents and Settings\Gareth\My Documents\Ulead VideoStudio\9.0\uvs050910-003.AVI] doesn't exist.

Please help![/b]

Maybe you accidentally moved/deleted it? Or maybe you renamed it into something else? Make sure that no other program's accessing the file.

Just use the 'Relink' option to browse to your file and all should be well again

Why not just check the folder you directed VS to place your captured footage in yourself instaed of relying of VS? Jsut right click on Start and Explore. Go through your directory till you come to the folder and take a look. At least this way you can always relink them yourself if VS' relink isn't working. Perhaps do a search by file name. Use the file name or number VS assigned, Start, Search, file or folder. If they accidentially got deleted, checkout your recycle bin.
A lot of options

God luck
