Distorted audio & Video

I have a new panasonic GS11 Dv camera and i have selected DV1 with DV audio and still get distorted video & audio, which is quite jittery.
Any ideas? :D

What's your computer profile/specs and what size and rates are you trying to capture at?

My PC is a pentium 4 2.6 1 gig ram windows XP. I am running at 25 frames per second. The funny thing is, it even does it when i try and capture with windows movie maker. Im sure there is something wrong with the codecs.
It worked 2 weeks ago, but know it stutters and jitters .

If you are recording video at 25fps, you must be in PAL land, not NTSC/SECAM land, and have the appropriate TV standard selected. Did you check this?

I'm in Oz and my settings are on PAL. I'm currently using version 8 which i recently purchased. I have also just formatted my hard drive as i was having the same prob with the jittery video/audio when i was capturing it with firewire in movie maker.
Prior to the XP service packs, i had no probs with video capture? :D :roll:

There is an update to the IEEE 1394 drivers from Microsoft that addresses problems introduced with XP SP2 -- this might well have been the cause of the symptoms you experienced:
