CHG image and trans durations ? (VS 9)

OK, I give !!

Try as I might, I can't find a way to change the default timing (duration) for adding transitions or images.

What I have is a bunch (40+) images that I want to put at the end of a video clip. Between each image I'd like to have a crossfade transition. I have x-fade as the default when inserting clips, so that works fine, but for the life of me I can't find how, or where, to change the default timing/duration for inserted images.

Rith now it's set to 3 secs for both the transition and the image, I'd like to change them both to 5 secs.

Any help would be helpful. thanks in advance

Hi Video4me

To change these settings Click on File -->Preferances.
In the popup dialoge box click on the Edit tab.
There you will see where you can change the default settings for these..

and yes, I am an idiot I was sitting here knowing that it could be done in VS 8, by just going into the preferences tab, but for some reason me eye balls glazed over the same tab when using VS 9
