problem converting and burning

i try to burn my project but after like 3 mins i get a message that says convert step got some problems! (4101) I downloaded the patch but this still happens. Maybe i didnt do something after i downloaded the patch. Please help.

There have been a number of threads on this subject with solutions involving disk space, problem with file formats amongst others.

Do a search for CONVERT STEP.

the most common suspect of this problem is your source video file. you video may have been encoded by a codec that is making moviefactory stop the rendering.

try using the export movie tool in the Add/Edit media step and save your video as a compliant DVD file. then import that file and use it to burn DVDs.

could go step by step. I think i did it but i dont have the option to put it into a compliant dvd file.
