From US date format (10-5-2005) to UK format (5-10-2005)?

Post by medp7060 »

PI 10 does not allow the text of date from EXIF under "Photo Frame" to be shown in UK format, PI always shows it as 10-5-2005 in stead of 5-10-2005 for Oct. 5, 2005.

Is there an option for that?

Not sure if it is a camera setting or a system setting. I have PI 10 and both are set to European date format. My EXIF info shows the date correctly.

Thank you for your reply. But I do not think it is something to do with camera setting.

In "Browse Manager", the "EXIF data" windows shows the date in US format. After open the image, the "Image properties"-"File Info"-"EXIF" windows shows the date in UK format. When using "Photo frame"-"Text"-"EXIF", the date is added in US format.

So I think, I may have missed something that controls the date format.

Go to your computers "Control Panel" and then the international setting.
Make sure you have the correct country and date format selected.
Should cure the problem.

Thanks, sjj1805.

But I have checked the "Reginal and Language Options" in the Control Panel. The date shows.e.g. 6/10/2005 (Short date) or Thursday, 6 October 2005 (Long Date).

So that is still not the key to the date format problem

Interesting finding here. So far I did not use this function in the way you do.

I went to follow your way and found that the date is displayed in the US way, mmddyy, go figure. Surely another bug in PI 10.
