Props - How to?
I created message callouts as Objects in Photoimpact and saved them in UFO object file format. I put them in the right folder with my other message props, but DVD MF4 DC will not recognize them or list them. What can I do to create my own props and have them recognized as props. I think it has to do with the index.smp file, but I do not know how to create this index.smp file. Any suggestions?
the best way to do that is to create a TGA image file with alpha channel.
example:
create a document with a solid color background. next, add your image in the solid color image and merge it. use the magic wand tool and select the solid background. Select Invert Selection so that your added image is the one selected. Click Save As then use TGA as file type. Make sure the "save selection" is checked then save it.
In the Props portions of the slideshow in DMF4, click on the "Decorate with more photos" then select your TGA file. this one worked for me
The Props in the MovieFactory 4 slideshow are built in and there may not be any way to add objects into it. you may delete or edit the existing UFO files though....
