Ken,
I believe I have followed the procedure.... but like you said, at this point, pretty much all I can do is go back and go thru steps again. This time perhaps making doubly sure I "convert" to 8000bps as soon as possible (create video). One of those situations where I'm hoping to be proven the idiot.
Thanks much for the help.
If all resolves favorably, I'll report back in post.
If not, then this thread can end.
Thks again.
Cannot Burn with UVS8 SE

Ken,
Happy to report that UVS8SE-DVD is now burning discs with no problem. As expected, the problem was a simple oversight on my part. (Why do these situations always return to a lesson in humility?)
You hit nail on the head in last post. As stated in first post, I'd been trying to follow recommended procedure to the letter, with the only difficulty being that the project properties (at mpeg capture) were at max bit rate of 9100. My error was in rendering the project while still set to that incorrect max bit rate, and then only at the burn stage specifying a burn at the ulead limit (around 8000). As you noted in last post, I instead needed to make sure that the Video File was created using the right setting (8000 max bit rate) before ever getting to burn process. (Somehow, it's perfectly obvious now... after the fact.)
Once I recreated the project and reset the bit rate to 8000 at the Create Video File stage, everything flowed smoothly.
Well... happy to be past this... even if it makes me look the idiot.
(My lesson here is to be more exact in describing the procedure I followed. Thought I gave all the detail I could... but I didn't.)
Many thanks, once again.
