How to disable animation when rotating ?

Post by Somebla »

Hello,
After I add a text and rotate it, Cool3D saves the move of the rotation.
What I mean is, when pressing the Play button - it plays the way I rotate it.
And if I add a Text Motion, it plays along with the rotate move.

What I want to do, is after rotating the text in a certain way - keep the whole clip the way it looks after rotating it, and not showing me in the begining of the clip how it looked before the rotaition.

I'm sorry for the mess in this post.. I tried to explain it the best way I can.
If anyone could help i'd be thankfull. ;)

I'm not sure if I understand what you're trying to achieve, but I'll go with this..

First are you rotating your text or objects by dragging them, or entering a value in the x,y or z coordinates?

Ok I've re-read your question about 4 or 5 times and I think I understand now..
You can't disable animation while rotating an object. Whenever you make a change, Cool3D inserts a Key Frame into the timeline. Look in your help file for Key frames if your not familiar with them. The Key frame will reflect the changes you made at that time. Cool3D will then animate the change from the previous key frame to the current.

Exactly.
I want to delete all the key frames except the last frame.
I want the file\animation to be with out all the key frames of movement I made, and show me during the whole length only the last frame (the one that shoes the text after rotating).

Do you know how I can delete the other frames ?

thanks again.

This is from Ulead's site. Its a tutorial from the learning center. Study the picture of the animation toolbar. The diamonds on the timeline represent designated keyframes. On the right side of the toolbar, you will see the "-" for deleting keyframes. Select diamonds(keyframes) on the timeline and delete them manually using "-". That's it.
