I've been having a problem with the DVD editor and the Tech Member suggested uninstalling completely manually through the registry. Has anyone else done this? And, if so, was it difficult?

It's frequently done but not without it's dangers. You can really mess up the registry easily, to the degree that your system won't even boot into Windows anymore, if you don't know what you are doing.

Get some expert help or, at least, expert advice and instructions how to do that. Never attempt to edit your registry without a back-up copy of the existing and a clear understanding of what needs to be done in case you f**k it up.
